Not every photograph begins with a story or belongs to a larger body of work. Sometimes an image emerges from an unexpected encounter—a fleeting arrangement of light, an unusual juxtaposition of forms, or a familiar subject that suddenly appears unfamiliar. These moments of discovery have always been an important part of my photography.
Something Else brings together photographs made across different places and circumstances, united not by geography or subject but by a willingness to explore. Here, landscapes become abstractions, ordinary structures take on unexpected character, and color, texture, and form become subjects in their own right. Some images are deliberate experiments; others are the result of simply being attentive to what appears before the camera.
This collection offers a more spontaneous and exploratory side of my work, free from the boundaries of a particular project or narrative. It reflects the pleasure of looking closely, questioning what we see, and occasionally discovering that something familiar can become something entirely different.
